this was a really good read, I read it in about 2 days, it was very touching. Tiara is your everday around the way chick with everyday problems, she forms a cliche of girls and they rule their block until adulthood. She like many women find out the hard way who her friends really are and has many loses in her lifetime. I felt that the characters were really well put together and your didn't have to live in the "hood" to get the point of the story. She went through some ups and downs and became a better person for it. welcome to the real world- in my opinion this book should touch everyone and you should be able to see yourself in at least one of the characters!! This was very well written and I'm now onto part2!!Product details

I slept on this book! I had this book on my kindle for YEARS and I'm just now reading it! You won't be disappointed.....on to part 2!
definitely will be reading pt 2 & 3. This story hit very close to home for me. A hood chick's story.
This book was recommended by a friend and I am glad I decided to purchase it. Once I started reading I didn't stop. The character went threw so much and none of her friends were loyal to her like she was to them. Death and tragedy seem to follow her, but she is striving for a better life. I can't wait to start part 2.
Very good book. It keeps your interest. You just had to know what happens next. A good book must grab your attention at the beginning to make you want to continue to read. A tear jerker!! Some things were a little raunchy but overall a must read. I have suggested this book to several of my friends. Check it out for yourselves.
This is a must read for all females over age 16. When you read this book, don't focus on the negative things Tiara and her crew did, but see them as lessons of what not to do. Everyone can't escape their environment, but Tiara strives to want better for her and her family. This book is a survival guide for young girls growing up in the hood. 10 stars!!!
OMG!!!! This book was amazing! Totally unexpected. This is the 1st book that I've ever read of LaShonda DeVaughn's and I am in awe! I felt like I knew each character. I laughed, cried & was pissed while reading. I plan on getting part 2 & 3 over the weekend. I can't wait. Good job Ms. DeVaughn I am now a fan.
WHEW!! ANYTIME AN AUTHOR CAN MOVE ME TO TEARS, HANDS DOWN IT DESERVES A FIVE STAR!! I TRIED TO KEEP IT TOGETHER TOWARDS THE END, BUT IT WAS JUST TOO SAD....TIARA AND TRE HAD TOO MANY GROWN FOLKS RESPONSIBILITIES AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE....ON TO PART 2 NOW!!
